I remember I played with this in photography class, and it looks amaizing. I came across these images by graffiti artist Lichtfaktor a while ago. Although not a unique technique, he creates beautiful imagery with it.
Then I saw the sprint commercial where they are using the same technique of lightwriting. So, since this technique is becoming popular, I decided to showcase it.
Heres a video from Lichtfaktor
I might take a swing at it and create a few pieces. Ill talk Ryan to see if his interested in helping me out!
Like what you see and would like to try it out?
Heres a few tips from Lichtfaktor
To get the best results you need a tripod.
The exposure should be around 10-30 sec. or longer if needed.
Stay in front of the camera and do your writing.
Set the camera to about iso100, and close your aperture as much as possible. This prevents over-exposure. If there is still too much light you might have to use a nd-filter.
If you guys create your own and play with this, send us the pictures to see how it came out.
There are a few articles around the web discussing this technique.
Heres one @ Milienzo.com that features the artist.
